STORM RISKS - PLUMAS NATIONAL FOREST

8/4/2017

Storms remain likely each day through early to mid next week.

Today and tomorrow are more wildcards with Sunday and Monday looking the most favorable for numerous storms and severe weather, flash flooding. Saturday has a good potential to remain just cloudy with a few light showers or isolated storms -- but if clouds break enough we could see stronger storms in the afternoon. It's one of those scenarios where we can have "too much" moisture and just cloud over.
Today's model favors the Eastern Sierra, we can't rule out storms for Reno/Tahoe areas since the atmosphere is looking similar to yesterday's based on the 4 AM balloon launch.
