Due to ongoing fires in the west, the green fuelwood cutting program near Lake Davis (Beckwourth Ranger District) will not be offered this year because fire crews that prep the wood are not available. Instead, interested members of the community are encouraged to take part in the personal use firewood cutting program that remains free through the end of September (see https://fs.usda.gov/plumas/ ). We look forward to continuing the popular greenwood program next year if conditions change!
