On 08-12-2017 at approximately 0445 hours, the Plumas County Sheriff’s Office Dispatch received a 911 call of a gunshot victim at Seneca Hospital in Chester. Another report was made by a man who reported shooting a subject who broke into his house and assaulted him at 290 Farrar Drive in Chester. Plumas County Deputies arrived at both scenes. Once on scene Sheriff Personal investigated and ultimately determined two men forced entry into 290 Farrar Drive and assaulted two residents with their fist and a baton. During the assault one victim, fearing for his life, shot both suspects which resulted with one suspect life flighted to Enloe Medical Center in Chico with critical injuries. The other suspect was treated at Banner Lassen Medical Center in Susanville and later released at which time he was placed under arrest and booked into the Plumas County Correctional Facility for Burglary/ Assault with a deadly weapon and Conspiracy. The two victims were treated at Seneca Hospital for serious injuries.
