Plumas National Forest, local volunteers and other firefighters responded to a small grass fire (est. 5 acres) in Sierra Valley (T23N,R15E,Sec28) in eastern Plumas County. State HWY 70 was temporarily closed but is now open. Firefighters anticipate no problems containing the fire as forward progress has been stopped. This will be the last update unless conditions change.
