FIRE NEWS FROM PLUMAS NATIONAL FOREST

Yesterday, we picked up 8 small lightning fires from yesterday/day prior’s lightning. With the exception of the .1 acre Elephant Fire (near Babcock Peak) all are contained. Four smokejumpers dropped in and hiked to the Elephant Fire this morning.
 
Contained fires (north to south with closest geo reference) include:
Kettle                    near Kettle Rock               .34 ac

Clearwater          Mt Ingalls                            .1 ac
Ridge                     Grizzly Ridge                      .1 ac
Joseph                  #                                             .1 ac
Emigrant              #                                             1.5 ac
Bell                         Poplar Valley                      1.1 ac
Trussell                 C-Rd&R/R Clio                   .1 ac
