Last summer, our staff corralled and hauled all of this material out of New Bullards Bar Reservoir, which was a result of the incredible rain and snow that we experienced last winter.
We're now working closely with the U.S. Forest Service-Tahoe National Forest to burn approximately 15 large woody debris piles in the coming days, which is the most cost-effective way to dispose of the material due to the remote location of the cove where it's stored.
The controlled burns will last several days and will be closely monitored by the Forest Service.
