ARRESTED on September 16th at approximately 12:21 PM by sheriff’s office personnel in conjunction with members of the Sierra County Probation Department, Fish & Wildlife and California Highway Patrol were Paula Sylvestri, 53, of Sierraville, booked on the charge of attempted homicide, held without bail in the Nevada County Jail and Michael Sylvestri, 59, of Sierraville, booked on the charge of accessory of attempted homicide and is also being held without bail in the Nevada County Jail. .
A court date has not been set at this time.
The above agencies responded to the 300 Block of First St. Loyalton, for a reported Assault w/ Deadly Weapon. The sheriff’s office received a 911 call from a witness stating a woman came from a residence with a head injury. The injured person stated to the 911 caller a relative hit her in the head with a hammer. The injured woman was transported to a Reno hospital via helicopter. The victim was treated for her injuries and was expected to be released later this evening.
Upon investigation the two individuals were arrested in connection with the attack.
