During the Sierraville 4-H Horse Show on August 7th, 3 local kids outshined the competition. They earned high points in their division and won a custom buckle made by Matt Wilson of Outlaws Saddle and Silver.
1st year buckle winner, Bennett Stahl, shown on right, from ECHO 4-H club, received his first horse in December of 2020. He attended every practice and spent countless hours atop his horse “Roanie.” He finally ending his season with several 1st place ribbons.
2 & 3rd year buckle winner was Katherine Joy, shown on left, from ECHO 4-H. She is new to competition and showed outstanding ability atop her horse “Slick” with a 9.0 second keyhole run.
Our 4th+ year buckle winner was Bobby Jo Griffin, shown in middle, from Treasure Mountain 4-H Club. She charged the barrels with a 20.13 time atop her horse “Mae.” Bobbi Jo is no stranger to competition and with her bubbly personality she was an inspiration for the younger riders.
