PG&E has announced increased water flows this weekend, July 26-27, on the Rock Creek Reach of the North Fork Feather River in the Plumas National Forest. These flows are intended for experienced whitewater recreation only.
Flow Schedule:
Saturday, July 26: 1,100 CFS from 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM
Saturday - Sunday: 900 CFS until 2:00 PM Sunday, July 27
After 2:00 PM Sunday: Flows will reduce to season normal (400 CFS)
Important Safety Notes:
These are Class III, IV, and V rapids – recommended for skilled paddlers only.
Tubing is NOT safe in these conditions.
Unseen hazards beneath swift water can be deadly.
PG&E strongly advises inexperienced paddlers to utilize guided trips.
Remember, swimming or recreating in PG&E canals and flumes is strictly prohibited due to dangerous conditions.
