LOYALTON HIGH SCHOOL SENIORS Issabelle Irwin, Sierra Hoyos and Ginger Dorsey attended the Loyalton Rotary Club meeting on February 13th and shared their post graduation plans. Issabelle plans to major in Biology, Sierra plans to major in Radiology, and Ginger plans to major in Chemical Engineering. Loyalton Rotary Co-President Wendy Bergstrom called the three, “high achievers.”
Sponsorship of the local Boy Scout Troop was approved for $936.
Tickets are now available for the highly-successful St. Patrick’s Day dinner to be held March 15th at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church Social Hall in Loyalton. The $30 adult ticket includes the tasty corned beef Irish Feast, bar with festive drinks for purchase, music by The Neighboring Valley and a costume contest with lots of prizes. Doors open at 5 p.m., dinner is served from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Events such as this help fund five-$1,000 high school scholarships.
It was reported the last litter clean up downtown Loyalton gathered 47 pounds of trash. The Club’s goal for the year is 500#.
