Washington, D.C.--Today, Congressman Doug LaMalfa (R-Richvale) voted in favor of the passage of the House Budget Resolution. This bill is a critical first step in the reconciliation process and moves us one step closer to a balanced budget.
“This budget resolution is a critical step toward restoring fiscal responsibility and reining in Washington’s out-of-control spending. By moving toward a balanced budget, we can put money back into the pockets of Americans instead of fueling more debt and inflation. It’s time to prioritize policies that grow the economy, cut waste, and ensure a stronger financial future for the American people. I look forward to the next steps in the reconciliation process to build on this progress and deliver results. Without action, the typical family in NorCal would see a significant tax increase,” said Rep. LaMalfa.
