WASHINGTON - Rep. Kevin Kiley (R-CA) released the following statement in response to the Trump administration announcing it will sue the California Department of Education (CDE) and the California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) over Title IX violations.
"We knew this would happen," Congressman Kevin Kiley said. "Gavin Newsom and the state’s political leaders ignored my warnings to reverse their illegal policy allowing biological males to compete in girls’ sports, a clear violation of Title IX. Now, the state risks serious consequences, including the potential loss of federal funding."
