PHS Volleyball Senior Night took place this past Tuesday, where seniors Natalie Lopez, Kate Henson, Rhiannon Wallace, Julia (Pucca) Bautista, Kyra Carlson, and Clara Klemesrud were recognized for their dedication and success in the sport. Natalie and Pucca have played volleyball at PHS for all four years of highschool, while Kate, Clara, Rhiannon, and Kyra have played the past three years. Portola High School wants to recognize these seniors and all their hard work! Congratulations girls and we wish you all the best as you move into the next chapter of your lives!
Portola High School’s Rotary Interact Club had their first meeting of the year, where they received official recognition as an Interact Club. Portola Rotarians worked alongside club advisor Niecea Freeman to kick off what is sure to be an exciting and service filled year. An amazing lunch was catered by Portola Rotary member Matt Cruse of Gumbas. All interact members showed excitement for the new club, which was unofficial last year although several students participated in serving the community. Portola High School is excited to welcome another new club to the campus. Rotary Interact Club will be joining the already established clubs at PHS, Dungeons and Dragons Club, Drama Club, Book Club, and the Peer Improvement Movement. PHS Clubs are gaining popularity this school year, positivity affecting our school culture.
