A festive group of White Sulphur Springs volunteers met at the restored ranch house living room to celebrate the Christmas season.
The bad weather genie took a break on Sunday December 15th and allowed about 30 White Sulphur Springs volunteers to get together at the historic ranch house in Clio. These were just some of the dedicated people that worked on the many 2024 projects like Summerfest, School Days, the rummage Sale, Christmas tree sales, interior renovation, and grounds improvement.
Past president Mark Cowan, now living almost full time in the Philippines, attended and was awarded an inscribed wall clock for his years of service. A table full of hors d’oeuvres and all kinds of liquid refreshments were available. Raffle prizes were a highlight of the day. The big winner was Clint Dudley who won a new turkey fryer.
The renovated old ranch house never looked better. Mohawk Valley Stewardship Council (MVSC) volunteers Yvonne Ware, Sarah Pahlow, Barbi Hendricks, Sugie Barker, Carolyn Blom, Dink and Dave Rife and Judy Porep-Lullo had arranged for the old ranch house to be festively decorated for the Christmas season.
Unlike previous Christmas events Santa Claus could not attend but He did arrange for a generous local resident to donate a full-length mink coat. The coat was modeled by a variety of female volunteers (see photo) and was a great hit at the party.
