Truckee, CA October 16, 2025 The Office BOSS is proud to announce that Chris Barbera, CEO of Mountain Lion Aviation, has been named the 2025 Best BOSS for the Truckee/Tahoe region!
Chris was nominated by five of his dedicated employees — Gretchen Wagenbach, Dave Tranquilla, Chad Lehmann, Sarah Wittlinger, and Hilary Cereghino, whose heartfelt nomination stood out among an impressive group of local leaders.
“As the CEO of our company, Chris is required to wear many hats,” his team shared in their nomination. “First and foremost, he is responsible for the safety of our pilots. He’s committed to ensuring they have the best training available and that our aircraft are incredibly well-maintained, making our skies safer for everyone.”
They went on to highlight Chris’s hands-on leadership and approachable personality:
“From a sales perspective, Chris is very personable with all our charter and flight school customers, which assists our sales team and instructors in providing excellent service. Despite his busy schedule, he’s always willing to get involved to help with any issue, on the ground or in the air.”
The nomination also praised his dedication to his employees’ well-being and growth:
“Chris is committed to creating a successful company while rewarding his employees for their efforts. Even with all the responsibilities on his shoulders, he always makes time to listen to an employee’s work or personal concerns. And to top it all off, he’s got a great sense of humor and is just plain fun to be around!”

Nathan Gamett, who organized this year’s Best BOSS competition, expressed his admiration for all the nominees and extended his congratulations to Chris.
