On October 2, 2024, at approximately 2335 hours, Ingrid Burke, 40, of Quincy was driving northbound on Greenhorn Ranch Road north of SR-70 at a stated 40 mph with 4 passengers, ages 9, 2, 12 and 3 years of age. As the 2003 Ford entered a gradual left-hand curve it swerved right onto the east shoulder and impacted a tree with its right side. As a result of the crash, all occupants of the vehicle sustained injuries with the 3-year-old occupant sustaining fatal injuries. At least one occupant was not properly restrained. Drug and/or alcohol impairment were not a factor in the crash. This crash is still currently under investigation.
