The Sierra County Probation Department, Loyalton service office at 105 Beckwith Road, is pleased to offer an approved secure California Drug Take Back box through a partnership with MED-Project USA. The box is available to all public to safely and discretely dispose of any expired or unwanted medications. All medications controlled or un-controlled Schedule II-V are permitted. All deposits should remain in original packaging, if available, with the name and other personal information of the prescribed removed or redacted. Office hours are typically 7:30 am to 6:00 pm Monday to Friday. Walk-ins welcome but prior call to 530.289.3277 is appreciated.
