CAL FIRE Wildfire Resilience Grants

New Solicitation Coming July 1, 2026!
The CAL FIRE Wildfire Resilience Program is launching a new Block Grant solicitation on July 1, 2026.
This solicitation will provide $10,000,000 in funding under Proposition 4 for projects related to reforestation in California.
Eligible Entities

• Local government
• 501(c)(3) non-profit groups
• Special Districts

How It Works
The application will be in phases. Concept Proposals open July 1, and strong proposals will be invited to submit Full Applications in September 2026.
Timeline

• April 2026: Draft grant guidelines posted for public comment
• July 1 – August 7, 2026: Concept Proposal applications open
• August 7, 2026: Concept Proposal applications due
• September 1, 2026: Strong Concept Proposals invited to submit a full application
• October 1, 2026: Full applications due
