BOIL WATER NOTICE - CITY OF LOYALTON - OCTOBER 17, 2025

10/16/2025

This is an emergency message, City of Loyalton and public notice for a water advisory date, October 17th, 2025.
Due to ongoing construction and infrastructure improvements, the City of Loyalton water system experienced an unexpected shut down affecting areas not originally planned for service interruption.
At this time, it is a not known for how long water service will be disrupted.
Crews are working to restore service as quickly and safely as possible.
Once water service is restored on residences our advice to boil water before use any water intended for human consumption, including drinking, cooking, brushing teeth, making ice or washing dishes should be brought to a rolling boil for at least 3 minutes before use.
This precaution is necessary to ensure that the water is safe to consume. The advisory will remain in effect until further notice in laboratory testing confirms that water is safe.
Updates will be provided as information becomes available. We appreciate your patience in cooperation as we work to restore and ensure safe water service to the community.

It would have been nice to actually get a call or notice on our door about this, but no one did. Whoever is in charge of all this messed up big time. A lot of us still can't flush toilets or shower. And 1 free case of bottled water is not gonna help.
