Join us for the fifth year of commissions for Musical Headwaters with Year of the Garden, featuring newly composed songs by Owen McIntosh, performed by Nightbirds and Fire & Grace.

📅 Date: March 29th, 2025
📍 Location: The Sierra Valley Preserve and Nature Center 495 Beckwourth Calpine Rd, Beckwourth,
🕕 Doors Open: 6:00 PM (light libations served)
🎶 Showtime: 6:30 PM

Musica Sierra is thrilled to present Musical Headwaters: Garden, an innovative fusion of nature-based education, music, and visual art. This year's program showcases newly composed works inspired by the Sierra Valley, crafted for our youngest learners (ages 4-6) yet designed to resonate with audiences of all ages.
Adding to this immersive experience, we are honored to feature commissioned illustrations by Loyalton's own James Burns—a remarkable young artist at just 15 years old. His stunning artwork, created for the fifth installment of the Musical Field Journal, brings the music to life and enhances this multi-disciplinary journey through Earth Science, Ecology, Language Arts, and the Performing Arts.
Don't miss this one-of-a-kind event blending live music, stunning visuals, and an unforgettable artistic experience.
