Now, let’s talk about the performers! We are excited to have Kristen Harris of Burleson, Texas, a multi-award winning singer, songwriter and entertainer known for Western swing. She delivers classic songs about the western and rural lifestyle and has been named International Western Music Assoc. Entertainer of the Year 6 times along with IWMA Female Performer 7 times. In her spare-time she can be found with her black angus cattle, training her newest colt and trick riding.
Ron Brinegar, known as the “Gentleman Cowboy Poet” will bring his classic verses along with his own heartwarming and humorous poems. One minute he will share a tender story of the range and the next minute have you laughing at one of his tales of two Nevada cowboys who can’t stay out of trouble. Ron has been performing in Arizona for the past 30 years and has recently relocated to our neck of the woods. He performed at the Grange many years ago, we are happy to welcome him back.
Sourdough Slim and Ben Armstrong are the Last of the Vaudeville Cowboys. They are a marvel of musical ingenuity with outrageous humor and song. Their fast paced, tight performance of country classics and blues are worth a listen as they incorporate their vaudeville air to their performance. Sourdough has been a favorite at the Grange for many years and we welcome him back along with his sidekick, Ben Armstrong.
The Sierra Valley Grange is a non-profit, Family centered fraternal organization dedicated to supporting Agriculture and the needs of our rural community. We have been serving the Sierra Valley for 93 years. Proceeds from this event are used to meet the yearly costs and maintenance of our building.
