THE DOLLHOUSE was won by Dwight Pierson and donated to Milton Gottardi Museum in Loyalton after having been in the Plumas County Museum about 30 years. The dollhouse is intricately detailed in No. 1 scale (1 inch = a foot) from the shake roof to the functional windows, the wallpaper, the chandeliers which light with a low voltage transformer, the rugs, the bouquet of roses and the pen set on the desk. The sides and back open to reveal the workings of a doll family.
The Museum is open Friday-Sunday, 12 - 4 p.m. from Memorial Day to Labor Day. It is located in Loyalton City Hall on School Street, one block off Main Street.
